Rügen, 07.10.2022 - On Thursday, October 6, 2022, State Secretary Elisabeth Aßmann from the Ministry for Climate Protection, Agriculture, Rural Areas and the Environment visited the Vju Hotel Rügen. Paul Schwaiger takes over management of the Triforêt Alpine Resort in Hinterstoder
Rostock/Hinterstoder, 08.09.2022 - Back in April, the management of arcona announced that a new alpine jewel was being created in Hinterstoder: The disused Berghotel Hinterstoder is being developed into a 4-star resort with 61 rooms, suites and lodges. The 20 lodges are being built in the surrounding forest. From September 2022, Paul Schwaiger will be responsible for the new Triforêt alpin.resort as Pre-Opening Resort Manager.

arcona realigns itself internally
Rostock, 21.06.2022 - arcona lives its new corporate identity not only externally, but also internally. Whether trainee or manager, whether at the Rostock headquarters or in one of the six arcona hotels: all employees are part of a common corporate culture that is committed to openness, mindfulness and authenticity. Based on this idea, arcona has now developed a programmatic guideline, launched an online academy and introduced a new applicant management system.

Opening of barefoot HOTEL Mallorca by Til Schweiger
Rostock / Mallorca, 30.05.2022 - Til Schweiger's barefoot concept is now also coming to Mallorca, the Germans' favorite island. The barefoot Hotel Mallorca in Portocolom, on the picturesque east coast of the Balearic island, will welcome its first guests on July 1. The operator of the 60-room hotel is the arcona Hotels & Resorts hotel group, which is already planning another barefoot hotel on Lake Tegernsee.

Romantik Hotel on the Wartburg reopens

Romantic hotel at the Wartburg
On March 4, 2022, the Romantik Hotel auf der Wartburg will open its doors to guests again, just in time for the start of spring-like temperatures. The events team is also active: a murder mystery dinner will take place again at the end of March and the Dresden Residence Orchestra will visit at the beginning of April.
"We are delighted to make the house accessible to guests again! The team is highly motivated and we are currently planning a few major events for the summer," says Hannes Horsch, Director of the Romantik Hotel auf der Wartburg.
The murder mystery dinners at Wartburg Castle have already become a tradition. Five more events are already planned:

A highlight is the upcoming concert by the Dresden Residence Orchestra at the Romantik Hotel auf der Wartburg: on April 1, musicians from the orchestra will perform works by Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, Johann David Heinichen, Johann Friedrich Fasch, Johann Adolph Hasse and Antonio Vivaldi. Various arrangements are available for booking on the homepage.

The Romantik Hotel auf der Wartburg, situated high above Eisenach, offers a wonderful view over the Thuringian Forest and the birthplace of Johann Sebastian Bach as a neighbor of the almost 1000-year-old UNESCO World Heritage Wartburg. arcona HOTELS & RESORTS
Founded in 2008, arcona Hotels & Resorts, based in Rostock, is a company specializing in the operation and development of hotels. As part of its reorientation towards the leisure and vacation hotel industry, arcona sold its city hotels at the beginning of 2019. The remaining six hotels are located in established vacation destinations such as Rügen, Sylt and Kitzbühel. The well-known Hotel Elephant Weimar, the traditional Romantik Hotel auf der Wartburg and the Schloss Teschow golf club are also part of arcona's portfolio. Barefoot Hotels will be a new business segment in the future. In 2018, arcona signed a long-term contract with Barefoot founder Til Schweiger for the worldwide implementation of the concept as a licensee. Accordingly, arcona intends to open further Barefoot Hotels at prominent destinations in the coming years. The shareholders of arcona are Alexander Winter and Treugast founder Prof. Stephan Gerhard.
