After the initial presentation of the original plans and the erection of the display scaffolding, there was not the expected broad positive response to the previous design, even though it was based on the current valid development plan. For this reason, a new approach was taken and the hotel was redeveloped separately from the existing development plan. Rainer Leidecker, representative of the hotel project company, explains: "With today's plans, we have taken into account the points of criticism from the neighbors, the municipality of Bad Wiessee and the Miesbach district office. In addition, the design is more efficient and the operational processes have been optimized. The architecture is adapted to the region - a country house style, interpreted in a modern way, in the character of 3 elongated courtyards with an intermediate building."

The owner company sees a high level of responsibility for the architecture in the Tegernsee valley and has empathy for critical comments and the concerns of the neighbors and the municipality of Bad Wiessee. The new plans are intended to create a forward-looking, distinctive hotel project, sustainable in timber hybrid construction, as far as possible energy self-sufficient, with a close look at the CO2 balance.

For the planning process, LSA Architekten GmbH, under the leadership of Christof Lampadius from Munich, developed a light-flooded architecture adapted to the architectural style and the landscape. "When developing the project, the focus was on the connection between nature and people, implemented through clear lines, simple forms with natural materials and sustainable building materials," explains architect Lampadius. The southern orientation of the property within walking distance of the lake not only allows for the best relaxation, but also creates a perfect symbiosis of architecture and its surroundings.
