Weimar, 02.01.2022 - The Hotel Elephant Weimar will close for construction work from January 3 to February 28, 2023. "We are taking a winter break because we need to overhaul our technical facilities and bring the kitchen up to date," explains General Manager Stefan Schwind.

Teschow Castle Golf Club
The Schloss Teschow Golf Club in Mecklenburg is located in an idyllic landscape of hills and lakes. Lake Teterow, centuries-old trees and the classicist Teschow Castle manor house form the backdrop for the 27-hole golf course, which also includes the "Gutsschänke von Blücher" event location. Established in 2000, the golf club offers members and external guests two well-maintained golf courses and a driving range: the 18-hole "Am See" course challenges golfers to play a sporty, tactical game (par 72, handicap -54). The 9-hole course "Am Silberberg" offers experienced golfers challenges with water hazards and bunkers without HCP restrictions, but is also open to beginners without a DGV course license. The Schloss Teschow golf course in the middle of the European bird and landscape conservation area of Mecklenburg Switzerland and Lake Kummerow is committed to nature and the environment in a variety of ways: around 70 new trees have been planted since 2019, a photovoltaic system has been installed and insect hotels and perches for birds of prey have been erected. Founded in 2008, arcona Hotels & Resorts, based in Rostock, is a company specializing in the operation and development of hotels. As part of its reorientation towards the leisure and vacation hotel industry, arcona sold its city hotels at the beginning of 2019. The remaining six hotels are located in established vacation destinations such as Rügen, Sylt and Kitzbühel. The well-known Hotel Elephant Weimar, the traditional Romantik Hotel auf der Wartburg and the Schloss Teschow golf club are also part of arcona's portfolio. Barefoot Hotels will be a new business segment in the future. In 2018, arcona signed a long-term contract with Barefoot founder Til Schweiger for the worldwide implementation of the concept as a licensee. Accordingly, arcona intends to open further Barefoot Hotels at prominent destinations in the coming years. The shareholders of arcona are Alexander Winter and Treugast founder Prof. Stephan Gerhard.
