Usedom/Rostock, June 25, 2025 - Guests at the Hotel Kaiserhof Heringsdorf, one of the leading hotels in Usedom's imperial spas, can now enjoy the pleasures of wellness at the very top with a breathtaking panoramic view of the Baltic Sea. The new 17 square meter sauna on the roof terrace was opened at the end of May. It is made of thermally treated Scandinavian pine wood, has panoramic windows, a multi-LED lighting system and benches made of Thermo-Espe. This exclusive wood has a noble, dark color and is ideal for sauna construction. The new sauna can be heated to a crisp Finnish 90 degrees Celsius and can accommodate eight seated and four reclining people, who can also enjoy infusion rituals with essential oils and Thalasso peelings.

Weimar, November 26, 2024 - The Hotel Elephant Weimar impresses across the board: this is confirmed by two recent awards that not only recognize the hotel, but also the top achievements of the chef. Hotel Director Stefan Schwind celebrated the Elephant Weimar's selection as one of the “101 Best Hotels in Germany 2025” at a lavish gala on Lake Chiemsee, which is considered one of the most important industry events in the hotel industry. The jury of the renowned Aral Schlemmer Atlas had already honored chef Johannes Wallner at the end of October: He was voted one of the “50 best chefs in Germany”, as announced by the Busche publishing house at a gala in Hamburg.

This made a significant contribution to restoring the company's economic performance.

The series of events will kick off on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, from 4 to 5 p.m. with a lecture by Annekathrin Härter on "Art and History at the Hotel Elephant Weimar". The guided tour will take place regularly every two weeks in the Lichtsaal and is free of charge. Visitors will take a look behind the scenes of the hotel legend, which dates back to the 17th century and combines Art Deco and Bauhaus elements.
On March 17 and 18, the culinary evening "Elephant's Finest: A Matter of Taste with Dieter Müller & Johannes Wallner" is on the program. From 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. each evening, guests will enjoy a 6-course menu accompanied by wine. Dieter Müller is one of the best chefs in Germany. From 1997 until his retirement in 2008, he cooked up three Michelin stars every year for the gourmet restaurant in the Schlosshotel Lerbach. He is a renowned cookbook author and runs a cookery school in Odenthal with his wife. Together with chef Johannes Wallner, Dieter Müller will create a finely balanced menu on two evenings at the Hotel Elephant.

On March 12 and 26, from 6 to 7.30 pm, the hotel invites you to a reading from Thomas Mann's "Lotte in Weimar". Johanna Geißler, actress at the Deutsches Nationaltheater Weimar, will bring Goethe's childhood love back to the city of classical music in a scenic, expressive and witty manner. The writer and Goethe connoisseur Thomas Mann was a regular guest at the Hotel Elephant and in his novel "Lotte in Weimar" he not only created a literary monument to Lotte and Goethe, but also to the hotel.

On March 31, "Pearls of European song" will be performed at the Hotel Elephant from 7.30 pm. Mirjam & Wieland Meinhold alias Duo Vimaris will take the audience on a musical journey through Europe.
