The repertoire of the Dresden Residence Orchestra ranges from baroque to modern. Now arcona has once again been able to win the international orchestra for guest performances in small formations.

In keeping with the historic heraldic hall of the Romantik Hotel at Wartburg Castle in Eisenach, the soloists of the Dresden Residence Orchestra will perform music as it was performed at the courts of central Germany with works by Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, Johann David Heinichen, Johann Friedrich Fasch, Johann Adolph Hasse and Antonio Vivaldi.

In the Lichtsaal of the Hotel Elephant Weimar, the outstanding violin soloist and musical director of the Dresden Residence Orchestra, Professor Igor Malinovsky, will give a violin recital together with Robert Umanski as piano accompanist. They will dedicate themselves to two compositions for violin and piano by Ludwig van Beethoven as well as a rarely heard violin sonata by his contemporary Carl Maria von Weber. Works by Tchaikovsky offer a sonorous excursion into the world of Romanticism.

on Saturday, April 02, 2022, 8 p.m. at the Hotel Elephant Weimar

There are various ways to enjoy the concerts - whether as a double pack or with an overnight stay or simply as an evening event.

At both venues, concert tickets cost €39 each in advance until 30.3.2022 (after that they cost €45 each). The concert ticket can be combined for €97 per person at the Romantik Hotel auf der Wartburg with a 3-course menu including aperitif and interval drink at 6 pm (dessert after the concert) in the hotel's own restaurant. The same arrangement for a dinner in the AnnA restaurant in the Hotel Elephant Weimar costs € 108 per person. From €236.50 per person, the Romantik Hotel auf der Wartburg offers the package with overnight stay in a romantic double room and castle breakfast, concert ticket and 3-course menu. The corresponding offer at the Hotel Elephant Weimar costs €202.50. The prices include the culture tax.
