Pool location at the Hotel Kaiserhof Heringsdorf: New sauna and heated pool on the roof terrace
Usedom/Rostock, June 25, 2025 - Guests at the Hotel Kaiserhof Heringsdorf, one of the leading hotels in Usedom's imperial spas, can now enjoy the pleasures of wellness at the very top with a breathtaking panoramic view of the Baltic Sea. The new 17 square meter sauna on the roof terrace was opened at the end of May. It is made of thermally treated Scandinavian pine wood, has panoramic windows, a multi-LED lighting system and benches made of Thermo-Espe. This exclusive wood has a noble, dark color and is ideal for sauna construction. The new sauna can be heated to a crisp Finnish 90 degrees Celsius and can accommodate eight seated and four reclining people, who can also enjoy infusion rituals with essential oils and Thalasso peelings.

Double top: Hotel Elephant Weimar receives two important awards
Weimar, November 26, 2024 - The Hotel Elephant Weimar impresses across the board: this is confirmed by two recent awards that not only recognize the hotel, but also the top achievements of the chef. Hotel Director Stefan Schwind celebrated the Elephant Weimar's selection as one of the “101 Best Hotels in Germany 2025” at a lavish gala on Lake Chiemsee, which is considered one of the most important industry events in the hotel industry. The jury of the renowned Aral Schlemmer Atlas had already honored chef Johannes Wallner at the end of October: He was voted one of the “50 best chefs in Germany”, as announced by the Busche publishing house at a gala in Hamburg.

Björn K. Wild new director of the barefoot HOTEL in Portocolom
Alexander Winter, Managing Director of arcona Hotels & Resorts, is delighted with the new man at the helm: "In Björn Wild, we have found a strategically experienced expert who has been anchored in Mallorca for many years. We are firmly convinced that his professional expertise in sales and marketing and in the operational 5-star hotel industry will benefit the Barefoot Hotel in Portocolom."
Born in Frankfurt, Björn Wild has many years of experience as a general manager and is a proven expert for boutique hotels in Spain. The 44-year-old all-rounder gained experience in management positions at renowned hotels before taking over his first luxury boutique hotel in Riga at the age of 30. Since then, he has proven himself as General Manager of numerous hotels in Spain, worked as a hotel consultant and made a name for himself as COO of White Brand Hotels, which he co-founded. He is looking forward to his new role: "I want to make the barefoot hotel one of the best lifestyle hotels on the island."
Björn Wild replaces Oliver Kunz, who successfully opened the hotel, at the helm of the barefoot Hotel.

The barefoot Hotel Mallorca, newly built in 2022, is located directly on the bay of Portocolom with a view of the harbor and the sea through pine trees. The bay of Cala Marçal with its fine sandy beach is just a few minutes from the hotel, while diving enthusiasts can get their money's worth at the nearby Skualo Adventure Sports Center. Surrounded by Mallorcan beauty and just a few steps away from the picturesque harbor, the hotel is a gem and retreat that promises relaxation in a relaxed atmosphere and at the same time offers access to the lively vacation fun in the nearby coastal towns.
The interior of the barefoot hotel combines maximum comfort with relaxed luxury and Mallorcan flair. Natural materials and light color nuances bring summery lightness into the interior of the four-story building. The 60 generously proportioned rooms and suites are furnished in light natural tones and exude the serenity of a long summer's day. The barefoot hotel offers its guests a wide range of amenities without having to walk long distances. If you don't want to head to the beach, you can cool off in the outdoor pool, browse on the sun terrace and enjoy refreshments at the bar. The barefood restaurant offers casual dining and Mallorcan cuisine combined with "Til's favorite dishes", with a focus on fresh products.
