Reopening for the 2023/24 winter season
Rostock/Hinterstoder, 27.04.2022 - arcona is adding an alpine jewel to its portfolio in Upper Austria: the disused Berghotel Hinterstoder is located at 1410 m above sea level directly at the middle station in the middle of the Hinterstoder World Cup ski resort (Upper Austria). This is being converted into a 4-star boutique resort and extended around the hotel with lodges in the surrounding forest.

arcona opens "Koopmanns Hotel & Lädchen" on Rügen
Rostock, Göhren/Rügen, 18.03.2022 - Arcona is expanding its portfolio on Rügen: In the spa and health resort of Göhren, just a six-minute walk from the wide sandy beach and pier, the company will be operating the former Hotel Berliner Bär under the new name "Koopmanns Hotel und Lädchen" from Easter. Until then, the gem will be completely redesigned and given a polished finish.

Company anniversary: "It's still fun even after 30 years!"
Eisenach, 15.03.2022 - The staff at the Romantik Hotel auf der Wartburg in Eisenach are just as loyal as many regular guests. Some employees have been with the hotel for many years - and some even for decades. Director Hannes Horsch has recently celebrated several anniversaries, such as Gudrun Adam's 30 years of service.

Burgcafé Gadem at Wartburg Castle invites you for coffee and cake
Eisenach, 10.02.2022 - The Burgcafé Gadem directly on the Wartburg in Eisenach is well known to all those who visit the historic sight. Unfortunately, it had to close at the end of 2021 due to coronavirus. Especially interesting for families: it will reopen for guests on February 11, 2022 - just in time for the winter school vacations in Thuringia.

Dresden Residence Orchestra as guest

Summer party, wine events and celebrity chefs
Summer party
On August 3, 2024, an exclusive summer party will be held on the romantic garden terrace of the Hotel Elephant, for which Johannes Wallner has invited guest chefs Maria Groß, Dieter Müller and Franz Keller. Winegrowers will present their best wines and a DJ will set the mood. The aim: enjoy, have fun and get into conversation with each other.
Six months - six wine talks
During the popular wine talks, wine lovers and connoisseurs can taste fine wines in a relaxed atmosphere and talk to winemakers and wine experts. Sommelière Anna-Maria Beckert offers insider tips and provides information about growing regions and grape varieties.

A long table, 18 guests and seven courses: Hotel Elephant is now celebrating a very special form of convivial enjoyment in its elegant light room. On eight different dates, chef Johannes Wallner presents seasonally themed menus accompanied by selected wines. 18 guests enjoy the evening together at a long table in the middle of the atmospheric light room with its art collection and glass ceiling.

Taste things: Duets at the stove
Together with one guest chef each, AnnA head chef Johannes Wallner cooks a 6-course menu. Each of the two chefs creates three courses especially for the event. Sommelière Anna-Maria Beckert will accompany the evening with the appropriate wines.

- October 26, 2024 Anton Schmaus, Restaurant "Storstad" in Regensburg; 1 Michelin star; chef of the German national soccer team
- December 14, 2024 Alexander Herrmann, Posthotel in Wirsberg with the restaurant "Aura by Alexander Herrmann & Tobias Bätz" (2 Michelin stars) (reinterpreted French cuisine)
Champagne Taittinger & Johannes Wallner
On November 16, the third oldest champagne house in the world will bring sparkling pleasure to Weimar in Thuringia. Johannes Wallner and his team will be presenting an extraordinary buffet. At the various stations, guests can sample luxurious delicacies such as crustaceans & caviar, as well as creative gimmicks made from regional products. This is accompanied - of course - by champagne from Taittinger.
