The Hotel Künstlerquartier Seezeichen Ahrenshoop even reserves beach chairs on the dog beach on request. "We want people and dogs to have a great vacation together," says Christiane Winter-Thumann, Director of Communications at arcona. "Our experiences in recent years have been so positive that we have expanded our offer for dog lovers. In all of this, we naturally make sure that guests without four-legged friends also feel completely at home with us."
The surcharge per dog and night is between 15 and 25 euros, depending on the hotel. The Barefoot Hotel Mallorca and the Hotel Elephant Weimar charge 30 euros per stay. If you want to bring your furry friend to the restaurant, you should find out in advance whether this is permitted. The wellness areas are dog-free everywhere
."As a dog owner, I know from my own experience how nice it is not to have to make any compromises when traveling. That's why it was a matter close to my heart to equip arcona with our accessories so that dog lovers can enjoy their vacation together with their best friend," says HUNTER Managing Director Nadine Trautwein.
The North Sea island of Sylt has clear rules for relaxed coexistence between humans and dogs - which is why it is particularly popular with guests accompanied by their four-legged friends. At the Wyn Strandhotel Sylt, dogs can stay in their owners' room for 18 euros per night, snuggle up in a dog blanket and eat from bowls with a hygienic base. There are also treats and a brochure entitled "Dog etiquette on Sylt". The hotel's own store stocks dog souvenirs.
Four-legged friends are also welcome at the Baltic Sea, for example at the Hotel Kaiserhof Heringsdorf on Usedom. For 20 euros per night, a dog blanket, food bowls and a pad, poop bag dispenser and treats are provided in the room. The hotel has designated dog-friendly areas such as the summer terrace. On arrival, you will be given information about the dog beach, ideas for excursions and, on request, contact to a local dog sitter or vet
.If you want to roam the mountains with your furry friend, you are very welcome at the Boutiquehotel Erika in Kitzbühel (15 euros per dog/night) and - from December 2023 - at the Hotel Triforêt Hinterstoder (20 euros per dog/night). And around the Romantikhotel auf der Wartburg (20 euros per dog/night), dog-friendly services and long walks through the cultural city of Eisenach await.
