Pool location at the Hotel Kaiserhof Heringsdorf: New sauna and heated pool on the roof terrace
Usedom/Rostock, June 25, 2025 - Guests at the Hotel Kaiserhof Heringsdorf, one of the leading hotels in Usedom's imperial spas, can now enjoy the pleasures of wellness at the very top with a breathtaking panoramic view of the Baltic Sea. The new 17 square meter sauna on the roof terrace was opened at the end of May. It is made of thermally treated Scandinavian pine wood, has panoramic windows, a multi-LED lighting system and benches made of Thermo-Espe. This exclusive wood has a noble, dark color and is ideal for sauna construction. The new sauna can be heated to a crisp Finnish 90 degrees Celsius and can accommodate eight seated and four reclining people, who can also enjoy infusion rituals with essential oils and Thalasso peelings.

Double top: Hotel Elephant Weimar receives two important awards
Weimar, November 26, 2024 - The Hotel Elephant Weimar impresses across the board: this is confirmed by two recent awards that not only recognize the hotel, but also the top achievements of the chef. Hotel Director Stefan Schwind celebrated the Elephant Weimar's selection as one of the “101 Best Hotels in Germany 2025” at a lavish gala on Lake Chiemsee, which is considered one of the most important industry events in the hotel industry. The jury of the renowned Aral Schlemmer Atlas had already honored chef Johannes Wallner at the end of October: He was voted one of the “50 best chefs in Germany”, as announced by the Busche publishing house at a gala in Hamburg.

Rostock, June 27, 2024 - arcona Hotels & Resorts has undergone a comprehensive restructuring over the past seven months and was able to divest operations on Rügen (arcona Living First Sellin), in Thuringia (Romantik Hotel Auf der Wartburg) and Austria (Triforêt) during this phase. This made a significant contribution to restoring the company's economic performance.

The hotel's own cultural manager Claudia Dell enriches the cultural life of the city of Weimar in September with various program items: It is about the worth seeing art exhibition in the hotel's own rooms, but also about classical and other music by renowned artists in the "living room" of the boutique hotel, the Lichtsaal.
The following events will take place at the Hotel Elephant Weimar in September:
- Friday, September 3, 2021, 6.00 to 7.00 pm & 8.00 to 9.00 pm: Two short concerts of 60 minutes each - Duo Aïmenda - spherical soundscapes and energetic rhythms with singer Laura Lenhardt and multi-instrumentalist Marco Antonio da Costa
- Saturday, September 11, 2021, 6 p.m.: Talk about the Kunstfest: Klartext - Rolf C. Hemke, Artistic Director Kunstfest Weimar, answers questions from Kunstfest guests and interested parties - free of charge-
- Wednesday, September 15, 2021, 5.00 to 6.00 pm: Lecture: KunstLichtBlick - The cultural manager of the Hotel Elephant Weimar, Claudia Dell, gives insights into the art collection in the Lichtsaal. Ms. Dell is an art historian and can also be contacted specifically on the subject of "Art in the Lichtsaal" by sending an email to claudia.dell@culturalmanager.de.
- Friday, September 17, 2021, 7 pm to 8 pm & 9 pm to 10 pm: Two short concerts of 60 minutes each Bosque Magico - Tu Tiempo - improvisations and original compositions on classical Indian music, Balkan sounds as well as pop and jazz with guitar, oboe, percussion and drums

Intermission: Concert Classics International: Jerusalem Quartet & Novus String Quartet - These two important chamber music ensembles perform an octet for four violins, two violas and two cellos by Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy at a high technical level and with great sensitivity as an exclusive joint repertoire for the Hotel Elephant Weimar.

arcona HOTELS & RESORTS
Founded in 2008, arcona Hotels & Resorts, based in Rostock, is a company specializing in the operation and development of hotels. As part of its reorientation towards the leisure and vacation hotel industry, arcona sold its city hotels at the beginning of 2019. The current seven hotels are located in established vacation destinations such as Rügen, Sylt and Kitzbühel. The well-known Hotel Elephant Weimar, the traditional Romantik Hotel auf der Wartburg and the Schloss Teschow golf club are also part of arcona's portfolio. Barefoot Hotels will be a new business segment in the future. In 2018, arcona signed a long-term contract with Barefoot founder Til Schweiger for the worldwide implementation of the concept as a licensee.
