Rügen, 07.10.2022 - On Thursday, October 6, 2022, State Secretary Elisabeth Aßmann from the Ministry for Climate Protection, Agriculture, Rural Areas and the Environment visited the Vju Hotel Rügen. Paul Schwaiger takes over management of the Triforêt Alpine Resort in Hinterstoder
Rostock/Hinterstoder, 08.09.2022 - Back in April, the management of arcona announced that a new alpine jewel was being created in Hinterstoder: The disused Berghotel Hinterstoder is being developed into a 4-star resort with 61 rooms, suites and lodges. The 20 lodges are being built in the surrounding forest. From September 2022, Paul Schwaiger will be responsible for the new Triforêt alpin.resort as Pre-Opening Resort Manager.

arcona realigns itself internally
Rostock, 21.06.2022 - arcona lives its new corporate identity not only externally, but also internally. Whether trainee or manager, whether at the Rostock headquarters or in one of the six arcona hotels: all employees are part of a common corporate culture that is committed to openness, mindfulness and authenticity. Opening of barefoot HOTEL Mallorca by Til Schweiger
Rostock / Mallorca, 30.05.2022 - Til Schweiger's barefoot concept is now also coming to Mallorca, the Germans' favorite island. The barefoot Hotel Mallorca in Portocolom, on the picturesque east coast of the Balearic island, will welcome its first guests on July 1. The operator of the 60-room hotel is the arcona Hotels & Resorts hotel group, which is already planning another barefoot hotel on Lake Tegernsee.

Wallner's favorites 2023

Culinary event series starts on 6.10. at Hotel Elephant Weimar
Chef Johannes Wallner, who has been running the "AnnA" restaurant at Hotel Elephant since 2018, has designed the culinary events. "Over the last few months, I've collected lots of good ideas that are now ready for the big stage," he reveals. "The Lichtsaal is a wonderful place to get into conversation with each other and taste the kitchen team's creations and selected wines."
Anna-Maria Beckert, the hotel's newly appointed sommelier, is responsible for the wine selection. Wines from the local Saale-Unstrut region are among the favorites of Beckert, who herself comes from Weimar. "With the Hotel Elephant, we want to take on an ambassadorial role for winegrowers in the region," says the wine connoisseur happily. "We don't just focus on regionality for the food, but also for the wines - that goes down very well with our guests."

The culinary event series, which begins on October 6, is designed to make guests feel as comfortable as they would at a meal with friends: relaxed, cheerful and looked after with friendly service. To kick things off, Johannes Wallner and his team will be presenting seven cleverly coordinated
dishes on October 6 and 7.
