| More digital - and at the same time closer to people arcona realigns itself internally

Rostock, 21.06.2022 - arcona lives its new corporate identity not only externally, but also internally. Whether trainee or manager, whether at the Rostock headquarters or in one of the six arcona hotels: all employees are part of a common corporate culture that is committed to openness, mindfulness and authenticity. Based on this idea, arcona has now developed a programmatic guideline, launched an online academy and introduced a new applicant management system.

Employee guidelines "How we act."

The new booklet "How we act." formulates 32 pages of programmatic guiding principles that outline how all employees see themselves. These include a commitment to sustainable growth, authentic cooperation and an open culture of error. The booklet, which is written in the first person ("I", "we"), is aimed at all employees and serves as a guideline for interactions within the team, but also with guests, investors and other business partners.

"We are not completely reinventing arcona," explains Alexander Winter, Managing Director of the arcona Group. "Rather, we have listened carefully to the company in a months-long process and distilled our values, which have always made up our DNA and will continue to carry us into the future, and brought them into a concise form."

arcona Online Academy - Learning in the digital age

The arcona Online Academy was also newly introduced. The innovative learning platform, which was set up in cooperation with Voss Seminare in Schwerin, bundles expert knowledge for all areas of the company and enables learning to take place anywhere and at any time. This gives employees of all arcona hotels the opportunity to further their individual training and advance their careers. In addition, the portal offers training courses on arcona's specialist knowledge as well as training for the onboarding of new employees.

Lively video units in different languages and varied learning materials encourage independent learning with a focus on fun. The courses on offer range from creative visualization with flipcharts to stress management and "troubleshooting for managers". Video sessions with experienced trainers provide variety, as well as guidelines, checklists, tips and tests.

Applicant management with the d.vinci system

Recruiting and onboarding at arcona will also become more digital in future: the company is now using the tried-and-tested d.vinci system for its applicant management. The software simplifies and shortens the selection process from job advertisement to recruitment for both sides.

The family-owned company d.vinci has been developing HR software for 20 years and pursues a holistic HR approach with the aim of connecting people in the recruiting process in an appreciative manner. This lays the foundation for a long-term relationship.

Yvonne Nüske, HR Manager Recruiting & Online at arcona, is grateful for the time saved by d.vinci for her and her team. "It gives us more time to talk to our employees. Especially during the pandemic, communication is very important so that we all get through this time well and manage to keep all employees on board," she emphasizes.
