Active vacation at the Vju Hotel Rügen Fitness & leisure activities

For all generations - from young to old - we have so many sporting activities to offer for an individual and carefree vacation on the Baltic Sea. The diverse island of Rügen with its closeness to nature, hospitality and authenticity also inspires endless possibilities for leisure activities.

Aquafitness

Every Wednesday, our qualified aqua fitness instructor is already waiting for you in our swimming pool! At 9 a.m., we invite you to join us for a 30-minute aqua fitness session. This is not only a lot of fun, but also ensures a successful start to the day! As water makes the body lighter, this type of sport puts less strain on the joints and there is hardly any risk of injury. Aquafitness is therefore attractive for every age group.

Fitness room

If you train at home in the gym or want to move your work-out indoors in bad weather, you can do so in our in-house fitness room opposite the entrance to our wellness area. In addition to various training equipment such as a fitness bike, rowing machine, cross trainer, treadmill, ergometer, cable station and weight bench, you can also exercise on the wall bars. Free water is available to keep you hydrated during your workout. If you have any questions about the equipment, our spa staff will be happy to help you.

Pool billiards

You will find our billiard table in the billiard lounge on the first floor of our main building. One game costs € 1. Please have 50 cent pieces or € 2 coins ready to insert at the table.

Bike tours

The island of Rügen and the South East Rügen Biosphere Reserve are wonderful to explore by bike. The island of Rügen has a well-developed network of cycle paths. For more distant destinations, it is worth combining the bike with other means of transport such as the historic narrow-gauge train "Rasender Roland", the "RADzfatz" bus with bike trailer or the boat. There are several options for hiring bikes in the Baltic seaside resort of Göhren. The bike rental in the resort offers a wide range of rental options, from children's bikes to touring bikes with dog baskets, mountain bikes and electric bikes. Our reception staff will be happy to help you with your reservation.

If you have your own two-wheeler with you, you can store it safely and free of charge at the Vju Hotel Rügen. Our 2 ground-level bike rooms offer space for 25 bikes each. 6 charging stations for your e-bike battery are available in our e-locker. You will find this on the first floor of our main building behind the reception desk. Here you can charge the battery for your next tour free of charge.

Guided hikes

Discovery tours with a ranger to the Göhrener Nordperd lead through the unique part of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve South-East Rügen. On the way to the nature reserve, you will learn interesting facts about the plants and animals of this region. At the same time, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the coast, the sea and the Bodden landscape of Rügen.

Take part in the numerous tours organized by the Ostseebad Göhren and actively discover the nature of Rügen.

Outdoor activities

Perched high up on a hill, the Vju Hotel Rügen offers breathtaking views of the diverse island of Rügen, the sometimes rough and sometimes mirror-smooth sea, the vast coastline and the nature- and homeland-loving interior. There is so much to discover here! The surrounding area is perfect for your favorite outdoor activities such as hiking or running. The Baltic Sea and inland waters are also ideal for numerous water sports activities such as surfing, kitesurfing and sailing. Whether it's a hiking tip or arranging a kite course, our reception staff will be happy to help you with any questions you may have.
